For details of my freelance services, including rates, please get in touch by email:
Before you email, please note…
Students: I regularly receive requests from student journalists, and try to respond to as many of these as possible, because I remember what it was like. However, I am unfortunately not able to help with all of these requests and tend to prioritise those with specific relevance to my work and interests.
Mental health: I am unable to offer professional advice or services relating to mental health. If you found my website while searching for information and advice on a specific mental health problem, or via one of my articles on mental health, please contact Mind, Mental Health Foundation, Rethink, or SANE. In a crisis, please contact The Samaritans for free by calling 116 123. That said, I am always really pleased to hear from readers who have found my work helpful in some way, so please do get in touch if that’s the case.
Writing and speaking fees: If you are getting in touch with an offer of work or a speaking request, please send details including the fee available. I only accept unpaid work in very exceptional circumstances.
Press lists: I am always very happy to receive press releases on subjects relevant to my work – in particular feminism and women’s rights, women’s health and lifestyle, and mental health – but please don’t send me press releases about parenting or designer shoes.
