A quick update on October

1505272_10152726630216760_6905812454028479701_nWhere is this year going? And does anyone remember when I used to be quite good at updating this blog on a regular and timely basis?

October is currently in the lead for fastest ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ month ever – probably as a result of turning 25 in September. But then, I have been busy, which is nice. Between the 2-3 night shifts a week sub-editing at the Metro, two days a week producing web content for RSCPP, and a fair amount of proofreading and copy editing in between, it’s been a hectic month, with hardly any time for pitching, sleeping or seeing my husband.

Somehow I did still find time to take part in the Victoria Park Big Fun Run 5K, in aid of Refuge (you can still sponsor me, right here!) and, in a moment of post-run enthusiasm, signed up for the London Winter Run 10K in February. Those exercise-induced endorphins don’t half cause trouble sometimes… Reminders closer to the time, but if you’re really keen you can sponsor me for that now too – I’m going to need all the support I can get for this one! Obviously, there were some pretty important dates in the diary last month as well, with World Mental Health Day early on in October and both National Cat Day and National Black Cat Day finishing off the month. (As you can see, Scala and Tybalt celebrated in their usual style.) Speaking of which, if you’re interested in both mental health and cats, I’ve got a feature on both in the December issue of Your Cat magazine – on sale 14 November.
